Quarter Pillar

Do you know that part of the movie where you have the epiphany of why the movie was titled so. This post is written with a similar intention for its reader.
To let know what "Life at a Quarter" is basically all about.

And if you know malyalam, you could have appreciated the pun in the title. And has nothing to do with Alchohol. This post is aimed at the people at their quarter-age. And that would be all ages in the neighbourhood of the golden age of 25, from early twenties to early thirties. To the young and restless.

When you have entered into this era of your life, its like you have gained entrance to an all-you-can-eat buffet

There are so many choices that you are over-whelmed, you want a taste of everything out there and yet know there is only as much as one plate of space you have. So you are faced with the challenge of having to make a choice.

Many options and life-changing decisions and sacrifices to be made. Suddenly, you feel paralysed, because you know with the sands slipping  steadily, you have to make wise decisions faster. And what you choose, you have to live with for the rest of your life.
And BAM! before you know it,

*Quarter life crisis*

Finding the one, dealing with heartbreaks. Making and breaking relationships. Losing friends. Making new ones. Becoming choosier.
Looking for the dream job, wanting to get to the top of that ladder, getting rejected, waiting for hard-work and persevarence to be rewarded.
Laying the bricks to secure the foundation for the future. And not having a effing clue, how.
And an ever-growing bucket list of things to do, things to try, things to learn, places to go to  and books to read before you hit thirty.
Your friends and fiends, all seem to have it all together and have mounted the rocket to moon and all you seem to be doing seem to amount to nothing significant.

I am not here to give you words of comfort. All of us are on the same boat. Every single one of them.
Yes even my IIT graduated friend who left his high end job in US, to find the job he loves. *eyeroll*

I only have to tell you this - Breath. Learn to be still. And do NOT over-think. And eventually do what you have to. Nobody but YOU have to figure out what that is.

Dear fellow-quarterpillar, remember 'Life' has thrown you an extravagant banquet. Don't stand around dawdling. Grab a plate and start filling it up.
Whatever which you choose to taste, eat and relish, if you like it or not, go back for second helping...
